The Most Beautiful Mountain Trails in Wisła
Wisła and its surroundings are a true paradise for mountain lovers. The nearby trails impress with their picturesque nature and are not among the most difficult, which means that every tourist visiting the area should be satisfied. Check out our suggestions for a successful hiking trip in Wisła:
Trail to Wielki Stożek
If you plan to hike on tourist trails in Wisła, it's worth starting with something pleasant and relatively easy. The perfect choice is the trail leading to Wielki Stożek, located on the Polish-Czech border. It's a route that doesn't require too much effort, ideal for warming up before conquering the more demanding peaks of the Silesian Beskids. Worth mentioning is the fact that at the top stands one of the oldest Polish mountain shelters - the PTTK Stożek Shelter. It's best to choose the green trail option (starting at Turystyczna Street). This trail is very pleasant and suitable even for children. Wielki Stożek is a peak at 978 m above sea level, offering beautiful panoramas of the Silesian Beskids. The entire climb and return along the trail is about 12 kilometers, and the estimated walking time is just over 4 hours.
Trail to Barania Góra
We also invite you on an unforgettable hike along the blue trail leading to Barania Góra. It is from here that Poland's largest river - the Vistula - originates, so this trip will not only provide unforgettable experiences but also allow you to feel close to nature in one of the most beautiful corners of the Beskids. The time needed to cover this trail is about 2 hours and 30 minutes. The ascent to the top of Barania Góra may be a bit tougher than the whole trail, but on the bright side: it is quite short. It's worth it because an extraordinary view awaits you, which you can admire from a wooden observation tower on the summit. From this spot, you can clearly see, among others, Wielki Stożek, Cieślar, Wielka Czantoria, the Żywiec Beskids, and, in good weather, the Tatras.
Trail to Soszów Wielki
The third proposal is the blue-marked trail to the summit of Soszów Wielki. Near the summit (886 m above sea level), there is a cozy shelter where you can enjoy a delicious meal. When you reach your goal, you will be rewarded with unforgettable views of the town. The return from the shelter takes place along the red trail. This picturesque loop is about 15 kilometers long, and the estimated time to complete it without major breaks is about 5 hours. Unforgettable experiences and beautiful views await you, so don't hesitate - set off on the trail today!
Biking Trails in Wisła
Wisła is also an excellent place for cycling. Both experienced mountain bikers and recreational riders will find fantastic routes here. We have two proposals for biking trails in Wisła:
1. Green walking trail “Wisła Głębce PKP – Wisła Wierchy PKS through Groniczek
Designed for most cyclists who expect unforgettable impressions and wonderful views of the picturesque surroundings of Wisła:
- The trip starts at the PKP Wisła Głębce station. Follow the marked trails towards the busy Głębce street, then turn left onto Kasztanowa street. A steep climb awaits you at the beginning, but don't be discouraged – the effort is worth it.
- When you reach Spacerowa street, you will see magnificent views. This part of the route goes along a mountain ridge, allowing you to admire the picturesque landscapes of meadows and fields surrounding Wisła.
- The next stages of the route involve a slightly steeper and slower walk among the buildings. You will head towards Kopydło street, then reach the PKS Wisła Wierchy stop and, continuing on, return to the starting point, Wisła Głębce. You can complete the route both ways, but then most of the time you will be cycling uphill.
2. Trail to Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie from Wisła
Offers wonderful views and provides an exciting adventure, ideal for every enthusiast of active recreation:
- You start the ride from the parking lot in Ustroń. A climb awaits you from the beginning, but don't worry – this is one of the technically easier routes in the area, so every cyclist can enjoy it without problems.
- Riding along the bike path next to the Vistula, you quickly reach Olimpijska Street, where the real ascent begins. You ride uphill all the time, enjoying beautiful views.
- After about 45 minutes of intense riding on an asphalt road, you reach the Kamienny peak at an altitude of 790 meters above sea level. Here asphalt gives way to a compacted road, and you continue riding towards Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie.
- At the top, a reward awaits you – a beautiful view of the surrounding mountain ranges, as well as the possibility to rest and have refreshments at a gastronomic point. Spend a moment relaxing and admiring the panorama of the Silesian Beskids to gather strength for the return.
- The return from Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie is a completely different part of the adventure. You descend along the blue trail, then choose the return path through the Dobka valley, where a flat road along the Vistula bank awaits you. In summary, Trzy Kopce Wiślańskie from Wisła is an extraordinary bike trail leading to one of the most beautiful places in the Silesian Beskids.
